Play dead or Alive 5 Ultimate? Are you a fan of Halloween? Well Team NINJA has decided to begin their Halloween Festivities today with the release of a free playable stage called "Haunted Lorelei" for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate and the free-to-play title Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters. The map is a re-vamped version of a fan favorite stage that takes them from the holiday vibe with new music, lighting effects and overall party atmosphere that is available through the patch that released today on PlayStation 3 and tomorrow, October the 16th for the XBox 360 version. Ontop of this release, a Halloween themed DLC pack with 28 in-game costumes is available now for purchase at the price of 24.99 USD via the PS Store or XBox Games Store on XBox 360. Think that's cool enough? Well here's more. The biggest roster in the history of Dead or Alive will allow players to enter the arena using these new Halloween costumes for each fighter and of course appear as "Little Red Riding Hood" when using Tina, Ryu Hayabusa as a mummy like version of himself as well as Momiji, and lets not forget an angelic look for Hitomi. Team Ninja has also released an all-new trailer and images to celebrate their new spooky content.

For those unfamiliar with DoA 5 Ultimate, this entry heightens the signature fighting style that was first seen with Dead or Alive when it initially released, and only has evolved with hew modes from DoA5 Ultimate such as dynamic new stages, and new deadly fighters to deliver a fighting experience like any other in the fighting genre. Players of course will take on the roles of their favorite DoA fighters - as well as combatants never before seen in the franchise in this intense, action packed filled title, that will have a visually striking appeal to it when fighting around the world. The original and famed DoA Hand-to-Hand combat has been enhanced with new content that will extend the experience. Along the way, players will also get to explore the single-player modes including storymode, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate also offers online options with the return of arcade-style matches, tournaments and social features, making it the most definitive Dead or Alive installment to date.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is available for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft at an MSRP of $39.99 (USD) at retailers nationwide and is rated “M” (Mature) by the ESRB. The game is also available for digital purchase through PlayStation® Store. Information for downloadable content will be made available at a later date.
